Current Volunteer Directors:

Julie Budgen, PBiol, BSc Mother Environmental Planner, Corvidae Environmental Consulting Inc.
Julie Budgen is a professional biologist working as an environmental consultant for the past 11 years. Her passion for the environment comes naturally, having grown up on the edge of the woods with a pond for swimming in and horses to ride. Julie has two kids with her husband Sweet Matty J. Her hobbies are capoeira (teaching and training), skiing, biking, swimming, ultimate frisbee, and running the Pink and Green Ribbon Health Campaign with Special Agents Herwig and Lynx. Her goal with the Pink and Green Ribbon is to help even just one woman have healthy breasts for a lifetime, but hopefully millions and millions of women.

Monika Herwig, ND Mother Morning Dew Naturopathic Clinic
Dr. Monika Herwig BSc ND is a Naturopathic Doctor and a Mama of two. She is one of the founders of the Pink and Green Ribbon Health Program. Monika has been practicing and living in Canmore, Alberta since January 2000 and in her spare time she can be found building forts in the woods with her children, flamenco dancing, playing guitar and doing Yoga. Monika is passionate about preventative medicine and in giving people daily tools for a healthier life. She believes that all women should have access to this important information about breast care and the intimate connection of our health to the health of the environment. She looks forward to her daughter Solana being in a world where caring for our breasts and our environmental are just "what people do".

Julia Lynx, BA Mother Doula, Loving the Land: Event and Workshop Planner, Videographer
Julia Lynx spent five continuous months hiking 4300 km’s along the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada in 1994. Her desire to play a part in preserving large landscapes inspired her work with non-for-profits and eventually her own business ‘Loving the Land,’ dedicated to co-creating events and workshops that deepen human connections in our World. She completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree with an international focus on the environmental, economic and cultural implications of recreation and tourism. Also working as a Doula, Julia launched Birth Roots Doula Support which is rooted in her trust in natural processes and women’s innate ability to know their bodies. Julia creates space for ritual in her work, alongside her mate and children and with her community of friends. This includes sacred time with her fellow Directors, Monika and Julie, of the Pink and Green Ribbon Health Program.
