Making a difference in how breast cancer affects the lives of young women can be rewarding and fun. But we can’t do it without you.
We know ribbons and hearts aren’t
the kind of support you need.
We also know that the challenges you’re coping with are unique to your age and stage of life. Diagnosis during pregnancy, effects of chemo on fertility, risk of menopausal symptoms or osteoporosis, feelings of isolation, questions about sexuality, childcare, employment and money are some of the biggies for women in their 20s, 30s & 40s.
We get it. That’s why we design and fund savvy support programs that respond to your specific needs.
In keeping with our pledge to connect and cultivate the most innovative minds in the fight against breast cancer, our one-of-a-kind research program fosters the talent of the most enterprising new breast cancer researchers in Canada.
Through our Career Development Awards, we provide promising young researchers and doctors the opportunity to pursue training in translational breast cancer research under the guidance and mentorship of the country’s leading scientists.
By extending our funding to researchers and clinical doctors, we are promoting an integrated and customized approach to breast cancer research – one that takes into account patients’ real-life experiences and concerns, not just the behaviour and characteristics of their cells.
We couldn’t think of a better way to draw fresh talent to breast cancer research, encourage innovative and holistic research projects and play a role in keeping our best and brightest in Canada.
